High security or low costs – Radix PKI Appliance resolves the dilemma

Public key technology is mature and standardised and provides the best protection for sensitive data, communication and processes. However, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and smart card projects are often experienced as complex, costly and time-consuming. The subsequent lifecycle management (renewal, replacement, withdrawal, PIN reset etc.) often generates heavy loads for IT staff. Most PKI solutions are rigid and cannot be extended with other CAs, smart cards or applications, and are hard to integrate with existing IT infrastructures. As a result, many companies shrink back from introducing a central, general purpose PKI and instead tend to live with the security risks and tremendous trouble associated with the use of passwords.

The upcoming new Nexus product, Radix PKI Appliance resolves the dilemma. It is the first all-round PKI platform that works out of the box, demands no technical expertise from users and administrators, and can be maintained for acceptably low costs. For the issue and lifecycle management of certificates, smart cards and PKI tokens, it comprises mature Nexus PKI products, which are pre-installed and pre-configured in a virtual appliance for quick deployment. Radix smoothly integrates with the organisation’s IT infrastructure and directly supports the most typical PKI applications, like Windows smart card logon, secure email, VPN, SSL, LAN and WLAN security.  Read more...
